In 2017 founder, tutor and musician Persephone Anderson-Byskou grew tired of her office job and wanted to pursue her passions for writing, performing and sharing the joy of music with others. She started teaching friends and family members on the piano whilst developing her tuition skills shadowing other music tutors and attending seminars.
Persephone started Tuneful Tutors in 2018 to fully establish her music tuition business and has since taken on over 300 students with a waiting list growing every day. In 2021 she employed another two tutors to join the team to help take on some of the waiting list and provide further tuition in a wider range of instruments.
Tuneful Tutors offers a contemporary approach to teaching music instrumentation and theory, nurturing and inspiring the creative musician in all our students. We mix a blend of classical style teaching with a modern twist, encouraging songwriting, composition and creativity in each lesson. We can also take students through the graded syllabus (ABRSM, Trinity, Rock School) and beyond if they would like to try exams in their chosen instrument(s).
We at Tuneful Tutors believe everyone should have the opportunity to be creative and expressive and we think music is a great way to do that. We are an all inclusive team and will teach anyone regardless of their age, abilities, race, gender.

We are excited to announce a new musical project we have been working on since 2020. TAP Creative CIC will be opening this Winter 2022 at Underworld Studios in Buckinghamshire to offer lessons in musical theory, instrumentation, music management, songwriting, music production, musical therapy, and much more to young and disadvantaged individuals. Tuneful Tutors have the honour to run the music lessons in the studio. TAP Creative CIC is a charity funded recording studio project based in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire.
